My Momma died on Mother’s Day. My sister, daughter and I were holding hands over her when she stopped breathing. All of Robeson County is in mourning if not all the world. Certainly, all of my world is grieving. It hurts something fierce. I am trying to make a really big space for all that hurt but it is hard.

My digital absence made my physical presence with her possible. I thank you for that. Miss you and see you soon.

  1. Dear Julia, It is hard when our mothers leave us but mine stays with me always because every time I say something or look in the mirror I see a part of her that was left behind. A day never goes by that I do not think of her and it has been years since her passing. I am sorry for your loss but she is with you everyday in everything you do. She has given you her best!! May you find God’s peace has you continue on your journey. Barbara

  2. So much love coming your way, hope you can feel it, dear Julia. I’m so so sorry for your great loss. You, Wilton and all of your family are all in my heart, head, and prayers. xoxo Adair

  3. Julia, I am so very sorry to hear of Dot Dots passing. She was a remarkable woman and I am blessed that I had the chance to know her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love, Heidi

    1. We all love you so much for the grace and care you brought to our family, Momma included. She had such fun with you when she visited Clinton. Heidi, you would have been so proud of our Wilton Gray. She was very brave.
